“I had planned to wait until I had lost some weight [to do a boudoir session], but I booked [my session], and booked out a ways thinking that would help—it didn’t. I knew that in looking at the boudoir galleries my images would turn out. The entire session day was so much fun and it ended with a great dinner out with my husband with my hair and makeup all done.” Sarah Sarah has been married to her high school sweetheart for 22 years, they have three rescued Yorkies as fur babies, and love to travel to Vegas. Sarah in particular loves wine, so much so she requested to incorporate her favorite wine glass into her session… Take a moment and read over Sarah’s answers to my client interview, and then contact me today to schedule your consult so we can discuss what’s included with each pre-paid collection, the flow of the session, and what you can expect. I promise you, you’re in good hands with me! How long have you been wanting to do a boudoir session and what made you decide now was the time to do one? Maybe a year or so. I follow Shannon on Instagram and was at breakfast with my husband, pulled up Instagram for something and he saw me scroll by a pic—he asked what it was, I told him it was boudoir, and he told me to go for it. What made you decide Shannon Hemauer was the photographer to work with to do your boudoir session? She was local and I was not seeing others on social media like I did her. What was your favorite part out of the entire experience? The planning, the session, the reveal? Each part was different—and special—in its own way. Did you leave your session

Bride-to-Be: Shelby | Boudoir York PA | Shannon Hemauer Photography

Shelby contacted me a few weeks before her wedding—she’d been thinking of doing a bridal boudoir session as a present to her husband-to-be for some time, but had been so busy with work and planning the wedding, she was quickly running out of time to get the session done. When she booked me, I told her because of the timing, I couldn’t guarantee she’d have her album in hand on wedding day. She was totally fine with this, BUT I wasn’t. It was really important to me that she have her present to give her hubby on their wedding-day morning…so I worked hard to make sure that will happen on June 15th! I’m happy to say her album arrived yesterday! I’m looking forward to hearing her groom’s response! “I had my session with Shannon and I have to say it was THE best experience! Since I am putting together the final touches for my wedding, I really didn’t have the chance to psych myself out—I tend to do easily. This worked to my benefit because [it was only] when I approached the stairs to her studio I [finally] got a knot in my stomach. Shannon met me at the top of the stairs with the most friendly and reassuring hug! I knew right then and there that everything was going to be okay. Shannon takes you by the hand and walks you through the whole process—she really makes you feel at home. She takes the time to get to know you personally. She says that everything you are experiencing and feeling is normal and that it IS okay to be nervous. My photos show a nervous face at first which then progressed to a fierce, sexy being that owned the camera. I saw a side of me that I didn’t
